Comments:  Namaskar Sushama garu (ji), This website is excellent and wonderful. Your site is a boon for this world. I am getting no words to appreciate you. I am very happy by reading your site and I congratulate you for your great effort. You are lucky because Lord Krishna has chosen you for this. The present meaning of secular in India is supporting other religions and criticizing Sanaathana Dharama. What is our mistake for this situation? They may be patience, peace and broad thinking. Through out the world many Christian and Islamic countries are there. With support of these countries, they are converting many Hindus into them. In these conversions there is no faith, only by money and by weapon. If the situation is going like this within few years definitely India will become a war field of Christianity and Islam, and Hindus may disappear. Every Hindu must condemn these activities and aware the people, how great is out SANAATHANA DHARMA. Once they taste the sweet of our Dharma they never try to taste the bitter.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your fine and beautiful words of appreciation for this website. They are truly appreciated. It is indeed tragic, that India, the birthplace of Hinduism and other Vedic religions has allowed rampant conversion to occur on her sacred land and there by willfully destroying the very foundation of this most ancient culture and wisdom. With a singularly lack of Vision of our ‘Secular’ and ‘vote-bank greedy’ corrupt politicians and a Middle class that is so mesmerized by Wealth, Materialism, Westernization and Prosperity, that today there are no towering intellectuals like Adi Shankaracharya, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Rabindranath Tagore, Sarvepelli Radhakrishnan, Lokmanya Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi and many others of pre Independence era, to guide this Vedic nation. This has made it easy for India to become a battlefield for imported dogmatic and intolerant religions like Christianity and Islam that stifle Free thought and create spiritual regimentation. This has led to the most dangerous and discriminatory idea in the world today of ‘My god is the only god’ and the rest will go to hell. Hopefully Lord Krishna will duly put in an appearance to save the followers of all traditions in this age of Kali Yug from extinction. “Yadaa yadaa hi dharmasya glanir bhavati Bharat Dharma sansthaapanaarthaaya sambhaavami yuge yuge.” Or Global warming and Mother Nature will do the needful to restore sanity to our world. Warm regards).

Comments:  Namaste, This is an excellent website on Hindu Culture and Concepts. I am doing research on ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ as an energy source. Your website refers to Vimanas but if there is any thing leading to my research which is scientifically in view of present science – it is not possible today. Today Vimanas – Aeroplane exist which was considered impossible during its material period. Here I would like to point out that Dr. William Harvey said in 1628 that heart is working like a pump, but ‘Harday’ is ‘Har’ to collect and ‘Day to give. My good wishes for this website.

(Editor's Note: Thank you for your fine sentiments of appreciation for this website and for sharing information regarding your research and Vimanas. Warm regards).

Comments:  Sab Ko Mera Pranaam. At one point of time I was very much dejected by looking at the state of mind of our fellow Hindu brothers and sisters. First of all they are not Dharm Abhimani secondly they themselves do not fully know Hinduism (A way of life /Sanatan Dharma). The internet is the powerful medium to reach crores of Hindus across the globe. The content of this website is very powerful and hope it will shake the consciousness of our Hindu brothers and sisters. The other great thing in Hindustan is that we are blessed with religious and spiritual Gurus who conduct regular discourses (Sat Sanghs) on our holy scripts and other pious scriptures. The discourses are a very powerful medium to create awareness amongst our brothers and sisters. You all are too doing it from the electronic platform. Try to post wide range of articles and matter covering our Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Shreemad Bhagwatam, Shreemad Bhagwatgita and others. I will also regularly post articles in doing my bit towards my Dharma. Garv Se Kaho Hum Hindu Hai. Jai HIND!

Even though both are autobiographical.. they have immense material which Hindus must know.. which humanity must know..Tradition of Yogis and Sages are still existing.. and they still Light the world from their hidden caves..

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your suggestion and for recommending books by Swami Rama. I will include some contents from them in the next update. Warm regards).

Comments:  I am writing this in connection with the unfortunate incident of two churches in the United States who refused to offer place for conducting yoga classes. This form of disrespect to the Sanatan Dharma can only be done by people who fear the Christian religious teachings and practices can be eroded by practicing and disciplining one's mind and soul through yogic activities. I am surprised that the highest religious priests of Christianity of the churches of the states took so long a time to understand that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but its a philosophy of life where in one does not run behind materialistic pleasures like oil from Iraq or the vested interests of United States in the gas pipe line from Iran to India through Pakistan.....the end less list keep going on. It is to be understood that principles of Sanathan Dharma not in any bit form differ from what any other religion or caste has to say or teach. Swami Ramdev has done so much to this world by disseminating what he has understood of the practice through extreme hard work and faith. May these religious extremists’ people of the West understand the benefits and roots of human life as early as possible and correct themselves.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you for sharing the information about the incidents revolving around Yoga in the USA. While the Church goes around blatantly and merrily converting poor Indians to Christianity under the false guise of social service and in the process destroying an ancient culture, it is ironic and tragic that they suddenly develop Hinduphobia in the West. Warm regards).

Personal tragedies in life often create great sadness which in turn leads to deep introspection and this in turn becomes a Passion. With great humility, I have often pondered why and what drives me to do this selfless duty and the only answer I can come up with is that the Divine residing in my soul has harnessed this Passion into Creativity for which I am deeply and ever thankful for. Hope this answers your question. Warm regards).

Just recently I have been reading everywhere a false hood that Jesus came to India is being propagated. This is one more attempt by Christian missionaries to convert ignorant and poor Hindus. In fact there is no hard evidence that Jesus Ever existed. About this you can refer 2 books - "Jesus Christ - An Artifice of Aggression" by Sita Ram Goel and "Dead Sea Scrolls- Crisis of Christianity" by Dr.Rajaram. These books are also available online. Please include contents from them so that people can know facts. P.S. If you want links for the book, please do mail me.

Comments:  Namaste. Thank you for your most informative site. I was wondering if you can help me resolve a few issues, concerning my Indian heritage. I was born out of wedlock in London in the late sixties, and consequently abandoned by my Hindu father at the bequest of his family. Consequently I was raised by my Catholic mother and her family. I was always raised to regard myself as English first and foremost though always to be proud of my Indian heritage. And though I have lived all my life within the United Kingdom, it is not unusual for strangers to enquire as to where I am "originally" from. This has led to a great amount of existential angst. In the past it was sufficient to satisfy such enquiries with the reply, my father was Indian, though sadly these days this leads to further enquiries, what part of India, what caste etc to which I have no satisfactory answer, since I know nothing of him, other than his grandparents emigrated to South Africa in the 30's. I always feel as though I am being evasive yet I feel reluctant to divulge the full circumstances of my heritage or that for me the shame of being born out of caste has been a heavy burden to bear, particularly to satisfy the curiosity of a comparative stranger. When I was younger I would angrily reject Hinduism with the zealotry of a Marxist, yet as I have grown older I have become wiser, realizing the fault lay with the interpretation of the system not the system itself. That I was angry with my father for his failure to take responsibility for his offspring. I was wondering if you could help me to resolve this issue. As I understand it the term half-caste was a concept applied by the British Raj bureaucracy rather than any part of scripture. PS. I am looking forward to visiting India in Feb 2008. Many thanks. Marc.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your kind words of appreciation for this website and for sharing your angst regarding your Indian heritage. Many good people have been born out of wedlock over the centuries in all parts of the world (including India) and have managed to live valiantly and courageously. In the grand scheme of things of Life, it is inconsequential where and how you come into being but rather what matters is where you are going and what your destination and legacy will be to the future generation. Due to space requirements and aesthetics, the rest of the editorial message has been posted in the chapter - Visitor's Emails. Please refer to it. Thanks. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Sushama ji, regards, one of the visitors Mr. Rahul has narrated the problems of erratic and nonsecular behaviors’ of Muslims towards Hindus in vicinity which is multicultural. I would like to advice Rahul that all Hindus should be united irrespective of caste (by the way there is no casteism in the Vedas) write a letter to police commissioner, copy to media (print and visual), chief minister, BJP president and MLA with signatures of all Hindus of that area to curb the vilified agenda of Muslims, don’t allow them to repeat history of 8th and 9th century. Clearly mention the root cause of this problem and happenings. I am not surprised at all by this because irrespective of the qualification majority of them will behave like this given a chance eg Khafeel Ahmed (India), Mohammad Atta. I recollect of seeing visual of attack on Lal Masjid in Pakistan where a women was saying they will commit Fidayeen attack in country, when a women (considered to be epitome of love, preserver of truth) can behave like this then you can think of progenies how will they behave. Because mother is the first guru of child who should nurture ethical and non-violent sanskars and values in child. In the world the first thing to be respected is human life irrespective of religion but this is not the case of Islam reading the history of India of 8th century onwards. South India has become hot bed of terrorist activities and non secular communism. That is why at times parties like BJP and Shiv Sena are required else we have to suffer and Hindus will perish slowly. If Congress was all good all this could not have happened in India and there would have been uniform civil code. Vedas says kings should look after its subjects like children and rule the kingdom on truth, honesty etc. But when he fails then public should establish the rule of righteousness and Dharma. Some body among you have to become a leader and come forward but be cool and composed, Hindus never unite that is why we suffered. So act now instead of regretting later otherwise any time in such circumstance communal tension will fare up and keep the vilified agenda of Congress and Secular media and Cmmunist. May god help you!

Comments:  Hi everyone, I am happy to see Hindus all over the world. I am very happy, even after the merciless killings and forced conversion to Islam we Hindus, still survive this is because we have not yet paid back to them what they have done to us. I live in an area called Shivajinagar where there are equal ratio of Hindus, Christians and heartless Muslims. A few weeks back there was a communal fight lead by Muslims, what they did is they started harming all Hindus on the road, only Hindus were harmed, this happened very suddenly, till today I have not understood why they did this, and how dare they are to do this? They harm Hindus staying in Hindus motherland (HINDUSTAN). Why is this happening, it is like HINDUS have stay with fear in their very own homeland. Even I and my family are afraid to stay in this area. We are afraid that whether the same history will play again in INDIA by these heartless Muslims. This INDIAN Government should change they should stop migrations of Muslims to INDIA and from other ISLAMIC country. Indian government should stop their voting rights, etc, if these things happens only then Hindus in INDIA can survive.

Comments:  Pranam once again. It's been a while now since I've visited but if you remember I suggested expanding the Greater India page to Include Pakistan and Afghanistan. Well, I don't know how reliable wikipedia.org is, but the information related there about the Shahi kings may be reliant or a precursor to other more potent information. Type in Shahi in the search box to see the Indian history of Afghanistan and Kabul before annexation in its present state. Whether or not the information is worthy to be added to your site, is your decision. Also, the Yunnan province of China seems to be heavily Indianized before China expanded and true Chinese historians can admit to this as well. Interesting in my point of view. See Shendu. In conclusion, it is amazing the amount of information compiled to enforce this website. I don't know any book, nor any other source that has so much information put together in such an orderly fashion. Which means that the author and moderator of this site must deal with massive amounts of information and who has the time and energy along with the efforts to do such. In my sense, it could be considered that this person is a modern day rishi or guru to say the least as knowledge is handed over and no pay in exchange. Is it possible that this information of yours is memorized as well? Maybe not entirely but more than anybody else. As a friendly to your website and if not already done so, please save this material on actual print from time to time or create back up copies and save them in a very safe place in case the internet ever expires or fails for some reason. Man has gone through ages where books of supreme knowledge were destroyed by fires and ignorance and the only way to retrieve those books were for them to be rewritten by religious followers and their memories. I admire your growing accomplishment.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much once again for your fine words of appreciation and advice as well as for sharing your ideas on the history of Greater India. They are truly appreciated. Comments:  Dear Sushma ji, Namaste, While searching about Vedas I have read an article by renowned historian PN Oak about Vedic heritage of Arabia which I will forward to you. Many people who are followers of Islam have refuted it. Similarly while researching about Jesus the articles were there showing considerable evidence which includes geographic and scientific that Jesus lived in India. His gurus were Indian and Buddhist. Further the way he performed miracles can be closely associated by the astha siddhis which a yogi gains by the hard practice of astanga yoga and studying Vedas. Time and again many yogis in India have proved that. Further I would like to say prophet Muhammad was religious person but not a yogi or self realized as Quran does not talk about his miracles. Further as I am practicing yoga for seven years I clearly visualize that the problem of today’s humanity and religion is the race to outcast other prove supremacy over other by converting or killing especially with Islam and Christianity. This all is due to the intelligence which stems from ego. All the present religions which want to kill others or convert others are not guided now by self realized people unlike Sanatan Dharma. Where as the essence of yoga starts with austerities, truth, non violence, tapasya and finally god is realized by human beings after controlling five vrittis and indriyas that’s why non of the Vedas, Upanishad or Puranas support killing innocent not only human beings but souls. That is why realized people like sai baba, nitynanda, ramakrishna paramhansa, trailanga swami say all religions talk of one god and never try to convert people but insist on honoring once faith. These never happen with Popes or Imams as they are not self realized instead prejudiced. As per Vedas entire human race has come from Tibet. Further till Mahabharata war all the kings were Chakrawarti i.e. entire king of earth. When we read at these articles relating to existence of Jesus or Islam with India or Sanatan Dharma we are biased as we are not free from Maya of prakriti coupled with ignorance, greed, hatred and all human vices. When we dedicatedly do yoga and study yoga we are able to break this illusion and perceive the truth and slowly realize God. That’s what our seers great sages used to do. Now we should also follow their footsteps. I will forward to you the history of kings who have ruled India after Mahabharat till 5000 years. Regards, Rashmi.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your thoughts on our incomparable Vedic heritage. I will look forward to receiving your articles on the history of Kings who have ruled after the Mahabharata war. Warm regards).

Comments:  Although not directly connected, I feel so touched and moved by the spate of email in support of Tushar Joglekar. Like me, he too hails from the Konkani Muslim community, which, though sport Brahmanical surnames like Joglekar, Oak, Barve, etc., are bitterly radical and fanatical. Konkani Muslims have ceased to acknowledge that their roots are Hindu and zealously attempt to thwart or annul any Hindu association with them. From childhood, as Muslims, we were taught, never to shy from the truth, then why is this truth not being imparted to today's Konkani Muslim youth? It is perhaps the fear of many returning back to their origins like I have, which gives the Muslim clergy a chill down their spines. If Tushar feels I can help him in any way, he's free to contact me and I will do the best I can to help this ravaged soul. As Lord Krishna rightly says, "Anaarambho hi kaaryaanaam prathamam buddhi-laksanam, praarabdasyaanta-gamanam dvitiiyam buddhi-laksanam".

Comments:  Dear Sushmaji and readers, my heart bleeds to see the plight of my culture in its own motherland. Aggressive belief systems have affected the psychology of our people. But, I can see the change. I can see sanatana dharma reviving in our motherland and the west. All self righteous religions get destroyed eventually. What Islam and Christianity could not do in the past 500 and 200 years respectively, they cannot do it now. For this young India is more aware and better. For this young India will give (and is giving) great freedom fighters like Swami Vivekananda, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Guru Gobind Singh, Subhash C Bose and others. For deep in our hearts do we feel the call of the Goddess and the love for it? And nothing can deny us the truth or take it away from us. Our motherland shall triumph and be a reckonable power. Sooner than later we shall see it. For its betterment I may sacrifice a 100 births. Nothing can take away the lotus of beauty that is inside me and my Dharma. I recall the Bhagavad-Gita Sholaka--Yada yada hi dharmasya, glanir bhaviti bharata, abhuddhanam adharmasaya, tadasmayanam swujanyaham. Great work by Sushmaji, you have followed the highest traditions of the Kshatriya Dharma. I salute in respect to you. When the time demands, I shall myself take up Kshatriya dharma.

Comments:  I would take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the kind words of Dr. Rawat of Agra, who has willingly agreed to marry off his son to one of my sisters. Although, his sentiments are worthy of respect, it unfortunately seems impossible as all my sisters are above the age of 19, which makes them of immediate marriageable age. Secondly, though I have returned to Hinduism, my family (which includes my sisters) have not and in fact, I am facing ostracisation within family itself, for this decision of mine. I feel so isolated; even my own mother has become so aloof and indifferent - the pain of isolation is very hurtful. But, I am headstrong and stubborn and now that it has dawned upon me that I may have been born Muslim, I will definitely leave this world as a Sanatan Dharmi and attain salvation when my ashes are immersed in the Holy Ganga; I will endure whatever pain and insults are thrown at me. Coming to the point - Dr. Rawat's noble sentiments notwithstanding, the real problem is that none of my sisters would accept a Hindu as their husband, unless he is converted to Islam.

Our Indian knowledge, values and mores have been exploited by the whole world however it is nearly lost amongst Indians. It is time to reclaim your birthright and show the world who the true leaders and citizens of this world are. I encourage all Indian extraction people to learn Sanskrit and delve into our ancient heritage, be you Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Christian or Jew. Cheers.

Comments:  Mere words of sympathy and appreciation for the persons like Sh Joglekar are not enough. We, the Hindus of the world will have to do something more for them. The question of marriage of 5 sisters of Sh Joglekar is really troubling. I would like to appeal the Hindus of the world to come forward and help Joglekar. I am a Brahmin from Agra. I have a son. Though, at present he is studying and not of marriageable age, I am ready to accept one of the sisters of Sh Joglekar as my daughter-in-law, when the time comes. (Here I would like to mention that the English word DAUGHTER should have been taken from the Sanskrit word- DUHITER).

Comments:  Dear Sushama ji regards, I have downloaded two beautiful articles on Jesus, the great yogi and his eastern tradition from the site www.atmajyoti.org. I would like to e-mail to you. It reveals the Myth of people of Christian faith and what actually Jesus taught in India, written by Swami Nirmalanand Giri, an American who has adopted Sanatana Dharma. Please send me your e-mail id. I will forward to you. My intention is let the truth be known to everybody how in the name of faith people have been massacred Hindus and isshanis (who used to worship Issha and Saint Thomas) and destroyed the aboriginal faiths due to human vices of ego, jealousy and proving superiority of ones own faith, which till date none of the yogis and Sanatana dharmis have done. With Greetings Rashmi.

(Editor’s Note: Please send your two articles to the email that appears on the index page of this website. Thanks. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Sushamaji, presently the state of our India is dismal, people are still in deep slumber especially Sanatan Dharmis (I am not using term Hindu, because it is an Arabic word which means slave). Politicians are dividing people along Caste lines. Now Christians have come up with an idea of Quota for Dalits in school, similarly Muslims will follow soon. Why not we Santana Dharmis unite and open a chain of imparting education and learning for all of us, like Takshasila and Nalanda. We keep donating huge amounts to Temples which is eaten by politicians, Christians and Muslims in return we get only discrimination and adverse publicity by media in India and abroad. Cannot We start a movement for this in India? Please people writing on this forum think it over. Dear Sushmaji, I have grown spiritually by reading sites like www.sivanandaonline.org and www.vedamandir.org. Further there is site called www.arcaeologyonline.net which has lots of scientific verification on claims of Vedas that Hindus have done. Further www.stephenn-knapp.com provides good information on Sanatana Dharma and myth of the present history taught in schools in India. The state of affairs in India really saddens an honest and patriotic Indian. May God give us divine wisdom to eradicate all the evils in present Indian society especially politicians. With regards.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on the sad state of Hinduism in India and for the informational links to important websites. Warm regards).

Comments:  Namasthe Sushama ---- As you may already know, three protesters disrupted a prayer by Sri Rajan Zed On Thursday, July 12 at the opening of a Senate hearing, calling it an abomination and shouting slogans about Jesus Christ. I want to thank these protesters. They are giving greater visibility to Hinduism. Except for their childish action, nobody would have known about this Hindu prayer in the US Senate. Now it is all over the news and all over the blogs. Most people in the West are still ignorant of Hinduism. Media never ever talks about Hinduism. So incidents like this will open up serious discussions about Hinduism all over the media and in academic circles... To the Protesters, I want to offer my gratitude for making a very big issue about this prayer. Knowingly or unknowingly, they are promoting Hinduism all over the globe.

(Editor’s Note: Dear Ed, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom on the disruptions over the Hindu prayer on the Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. last week. Your are right in pointing out that this infantile behavior of the protestors and the rabble rousers behind this incident have only given Hinduism more visibility and hopefully now thought provoking and Ernest discussions will take place in the international media as well as in the academic circles regarding the persistent negative portrayal of Hinduism. This episode/incident has been fully covered in the Chapter Glimpses XVII. - http://www.hinduwisdom.info/Glimpses_XVII.htm. Please refer to it. Warm regards).

Comments:  Hi, I placed an entry a few days ago and did not appear regarding the Taj Mahal as not a burial place but was in fact a SIVA TEMPLE If any one has raised any issue regarding the Taj Mahal not being a Islamic mausoleum but an ancient Shiva Temple known as Tejo Mahalaya then please read the following:The True Story of the Taj Mahal - By P. N. Oak That Shahjahan, far from building the marble Taj, only disfigured it with black lettering is mentioned by the inscriber Amanat Khan Shirazi himself in an inscription on the building. A close scrutiny of the Koranic lettering reveals that they are grafts patched up with bits of variegated stone on an ancient Shiva temple. http://www.stephen-knapp.com/true_story_of_the_taj_mahal.htm I hope this information gets posted. OM NAMAH SHIVAYA
