Comments:  The most powerful, historical and ancient religion in the world is Hinduism. All the Hindus in the world should protect their religion by constructing temples in their native places and try to spread it. Avoid the Indians to convert into Christians and Muslims. The person who tells others to hate one is not a god. Christians and Muslims are doing the hell by saying the person who won't follow their religion will go to hell. It's mean on their part. The Religion which says to love all. The Religion of Choice. The Religion of Philosophy, Traditions, and Cultures. World’s Greatest Religion. It is Just Hinduism. Proud to be a Hindu. Or convert into Hinduism.

Comments:  Sivam is the absolute science. It originated in Vedas. Energy fills the universe. That is SIVAM. Shakthi is mater. Matter and Energy are mutually interactive. That is how Sivam originated with Stripes and mater with dot. Every women owning a dot and every man owning a stripe are symbolic representation of Siva and Uma. The hidden message is universe is made of matter and energy. This should be the origin of cosmology. Further fabric of time and space will eventually be questioned some time soon. The site is very resourceful for those interested in learning more.

Comments:  Hello: Informative site!!!! I have a question - perhaps someone can help me? Did ancient India (Vedic times) have a concept of 'total war'? I have read somewhere that the concept of 'sammukha yuddha' is this concept of total war, but looking in the Sanskrit dictionary, I find that 'sammukha' means roughly 'face-to-face' which would change the meaning of 'sammukha yuddha' to 'face-to-face' or 'close combat'. Your speedy response would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Manav.

Comments:  What a great website !! I thank its creator for the love, affection and pride she is putting into these pages, therefore distributing those qualities amongst us readers. Hindu heritage is so vast and extensive that our poor modern minds would split at the seams imagining it, leave alone implementing those lofty ideals in our lives. But, a beginning has been made - ironically aided by a western language (English) and western technology (the Internet). Vendantic philosophy would find nothing remiss with that - so lets forge ahead. Our pride must be reclaimed from our past - that is the only way forward.

It surely instills pride in the ancient practices of the Hindu Dharma. I think we should destroy differences within the mother nation of Bharatham, by putting an end to the fallacious Aryan/Dravidian theory. It is also time for all other religions and regions to assimilate and appreciate the most wonderful and hallowed philosophies from the most ancient and sweetest religion of God and the land of God Bharathavarsha (India). Seeking God's blessing for the welfare of one and all with the holy prayers of this grand religion, firstly "Sarve Janaa Sukhino Bhavanthu" (Let all people be happy) and also a prayer for the well being of the bipeds and quadrupeds "Shamno asthu dwipade sham chathushpade". Om Shanthi Shanthi Shanthihi! (Let Peace Be).

Comments:  Namaskar, First of all Many thanks for the site and for the Seva that you are doing through the site. No need to appreciate again. No doubt a wonderful site. So, I will only point out the small drawbacks/limitations. 1. Looks like there is no Devnagari lipi used in this site. I advice you to use Devanagari lipi at least while giving the Slokas. 2. While pointing to sources, it is pointing to amazon.com in so many places where one need to buy to read the books. There are so many books in India which can be taken as reference as source to the articles. Also if possible try to put the source as references of Vedas. Most of the information that you have provided looks like is available in Vedas. We can point to them along with the Amazon links. I will also try to provide more info on the sources that you had written. 3. Also, I request you to provide the users to write their own articles as well as discussion forums. I don’t find it so far. Please ignore it if it is already available. I will let you as and when I get any information. Keep up this good spirit. Dhanyavaad, Pradeep.

Comments:  Superb site! Ancient Indian thought believes in a cyclical journey through time. We go through similar cycles of ups and downs as we progress forward in time. We are given the chance to better ourselves through every cycle. In the past India was great. In the immediate past 200 years or more India had/has been impoverished. From today onwards it appears India is once again coming to centre stage. There is a vast Indian diaspora that is looking to come home, and there are millions of Indians at 'home' helping rebuild what our ancestors had made for us. Every Indian worldwide needs to look within him/herself and 'see' who/what he/she is. Learn to live together, our religion at one time long ago was the same. Reclaim what is rightfully yours, don’t buy into the lies and false histories. Realize that India gave the world culture, humanity and hope. We were around before the Greeks, Romans or even the Egyptians. We gave rise to all the people of the world. Our language is spoken in every corner of the world in the present form as English. However I feel that it is very important that Indian children all over be taught Sanskrit, we cannot lose anymore of who/what we are. Once again, great site!

Comments:  Its high time that this wealth of information is collated as a book, hardbound and softbound, and placed in the market, especially where it is really needed. 95% of Hindus (if we can call them) do not know what Hinduism is, and are unaware of the glory of this divine way of life, the rest 2-3% are always busy abusing Hinduism and Hindus, to flout their liberal, secular and leftist credentials. Please release this book in India where Indians may learn about there own self.

Comments:  This is an excellent site with great reference material and layout. Makes me feel proud to be a Sanatana Dharmic (aka Hindu). I would like to point here that the word 'Hindu' is foreign and is not mentioned anywhere within the realm of our Vedas or our great mythologies. There is no word for our religious system. It is not a religion in that sense, rather a way of living. There is no book of conduct 'a' book to go to, rather a huge collection of divine books. It is no beginning, no middle and no end to this system. It started with creation and will exist till the end (if any). Bhagavad-Gita, which is actually a chapter within the Mahabharata, perhaps explains almost all questions a human can have about divinity. It explains everything. To me it is encompasses every religion and beyond. However sadly we 'Hindus' have a way of shooting ourselves in the foot all the time. A quick reading of this web site proves it. Lastly how many folks remember that the only miracle ever to happen in such a massive worldwide scale? Lord Ganesha drinking milk? It heralded a new beginning. The beginning, of the spread, of the knowledge that the Ganesha is everything. There is no beginning, no middle and no end. Period.

Indian art is closely related to Earth -mother worship but sadly though what you say is true, today reality is, Hindus abuse the Nature. However, while reading some of the pages I happened to note some typing errors and some passages repeated a number of times. I would like to offer my services to proof read the pages and contribute in my own humble way and complement your efforts. What can one do in this age when we have people with political power like Mr. Arjun Singh, Mr. Mani Shankar Iyer etc., constantly and deliberately trying to put down Hinduism. Are they doing service to Hinduism by stretching the rope too tight? Maybe... People like me, a pacifist, would not be tolerating this any longer and might start answering fire with fire! Are we left with any other solution than violence in this mindless India of today? The other day, the left parties saw to it that Mr. Anupam Kher was kicked out of the Censor Board. His crime? He is supposed to have links with the RSS. Is it a crime in India to have links with the RSS, today? This I know would not happen in any other country. Pratap....

During my research work I experienced that global civilization even floras and faunas are under threat due to changing environment and also due to our developed weapons and bombs. So I was curious to know and understand how our ancient Indian civilization vanished. Was there was any environment changes like today or was there any ancient atomic war which vanished our civilization. With the help of your web site I gathered much information and did a small research and wrote a small article "WAS INDIA A NUCLEAR POWER IN ANCIENT TIMES". So your web site helped me like an Encyclopedia of ancient Hindu civilization. It is a marvelous site for a researcher like us. All my best wishes are with you.

Comments:  A tribute to Hinduism, this site may be. But, for me at least, sites like this make religion obsolete. The progression (and regression) of mankind has been going around in cycles for tens of thousands of years. Every race has had it's peaks and many great civilisations have come and gone... wiped out by themselves... or more likely through natural disasters such as floods. History as we know it in the West is wrong. Mankind's progress has not been linear. We are only now starting to rediscover what our ancestors knew long before. And when we finally do rediscover greatness (of technology/astronomy/architecture/philosophy) another great global catastrophe will wipe it from the earth and mankind's progress will start all over again. And we too, with our computers and flying machines, will be forgotten about and only refered to in fleeting references in ancient texts. I wonder if 20,000 years from now there will be another stone age?
