Historically, since the British Raj, Christian missionaries have used the caste system as a convenient whip to lash out and flog Hindus and Hinduism. Missionaries treat Christianity as a magic pill or a Panacea for solving world problems and social ills. They have craftily, systematically and cleverly exploited this weakness within Hindu society to their own advantage to increase their numbers. After all Conversion is just a game of increasing numbers. Basically, conversion is a Spiritual Imperialism unleased by the developed and rich countries of the West, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Spirituality. Mahatma Gandhi objected to conversion most vociferously and stridently. To wipe out this conversion disease, we, Hindus need to eradicate the glaring abuse of caste system within Hinduism. Caste system (the division of society by occupation) by itself is not wrong, it is casteism and abuse of it is that is appalling and dreadful. In additon, every Hindu around the world needs to feel proud of being a Hindu and spread awareness of Hinduism. Comments:	Your article on Hindu symbolism is excellent. But the concept of Brahma is not to be confused with the monolatrous one god concept of Semitic religions. Monotheism is spiritual fascism. It is with the coming of monotheism that religions became a blood-thirsty affair. Hinduism does not say that there is only one god, but only god is. This is pure advaidic experience. The Vedas say 'Ekam sat', that is all that exists is ultimately one reality. Even then, when we address it from the realm of mind we can conceive it only in plurality. So it is the wise that call it by many names, not the ignorant. The whole Pagan world as was vibrant with many gods and goddesses. It is the predatory criminal creeds like Christianity and Islam which destroyed that. Hindus all over the world should join hands with other pagan people for the ultimate return of the ancient gods. Comments:	Namaste Sushmaji. Thank you for your response on the chapter on Vimanas. In your response, you made several points in regards to Vimanas and I do not see how they relate. Your mentioning of the war of The Mahabharata and a possible nuclear holocaust or weapons of mass destruction could be a reason for the destruction of such Vimanas is an assumption that still does not prove anything. The so called hit of an asteroid that brought the last ice age and destruction of almost all life on this planet several million years ago and the most recent ice age was 10.000 years ago left a lot of evidence for the scientists to study, I am sure the weapons that we assume of The Mahabharata were of much lower destruction capacity compared to the asteroid power. If, we say there were mega weapons of such devastation than there must have been massive production plants. The Zero that we gave to the rest of civilization was a real boon to the whole world and it thrived in numbers and calculations, fine and the computers that we use are because of the zero so very true, but lot more goes inside a computer than just a Zero. It is a product of electronic inventions carried out by many western scientists some of whom were not too educated. We were advanced in numerical work, cosmology, archaeology, religious philosophy, herbal medicine and lot more and no one can doubt that. India of those days was full of riches and wealth that attracted Mohammadans first and slaughtered their way to take power from our fragmented Bharat. Then was the turn of the Europeans and who through their cunning and administrative skills took over from the Muslim rulers (May be if the British did not take over we would still be slaving under the dhimmitude of Islam). Comments:	All Proud Indians and The Descendants: I very strongly urge everyone to use the name Gunga instead of Ganges. Gunga is absolutely a beautiful name. Ganges never was the name of our holy river. We restored the name Mumbai which was corrupted by English (because their abiltiy to pronounce many syllables is severely limited) to Bombay. Calcutta now is Kolkutta. Baroda is now Vadodara. All these and many more names were changed by English rulers to make them palatable to their inflexible tongue. This posting is not meant to bash them. Its goal is to restore the truth. I suggest that many references made on this website to Gunga as Ganges in Sunskrut to English translation be changed to Gunga (with Ganges in paranthesis for reference). Once again, Gunga is a beautiful name, and Ganges is not. (Editor’s Note: Thank you for your suggestions. I will make the changes to these in the near future. I agree that Gunga sounds much more beautiful than Ganges. Besides the names that you have mentioned, there are many other cities in India that need change. Cities such as Osamanabad, Vasco da Gama, Aurangabad, Allahabad, Ahmedabad, Nizamabad, Ahmednagar and so on. These are symbols of tyranny and subjugation.They reflect the fanaticism of the Muslim onslaught and European imperialism on India. There is nothing glorious or historic about them. Warm regards).

I believe that gradually things could change! I feel that speaking to others in their language just to make yourself understood is a bit like speaking to children in their lisping style, to use a simple analogy. Life is indeed very fragile and there are no easy answers to complex problems. As Lord Krishna stated in the Bhagavad Gita, "Agama payino, anithya" everything in life comes and goes and it never stays at the same level all the time. That is the nature of things and we have no control of that. What happened is the result of the foolish action of a deranged person and it has anything to do with Karma. All those whose lives were prematurely extinguished before their time were just people standing at the wrong place at the wrong time. We have to pray as well as console each other. We should specially pray for students at Virginia Tech and their families, who are very much effected by this tragedy. Comments:	What an enlightenment this accidental reading has been! I agree that it is a high time we Hindus, reclaim for all our knowledge, and the copycat mass plagiarism committed by the world. I am a Brahmin and extremely proud to be a Brahmin. My name means those who have mastered two Vedas are called du=2 and ve short for Vedas. I do not know anything about Vedas, but will definitely learn about Vedas and Upanishads at some stage. You are quite right in saying that Indians always downplay our achievements, because we are very humble people, the very motto of our culture is, 'vydiah vinay shobhte' (sorry can’t remember exactly) meaning that knowledge glows with humility. Hindus knew that it is the sun the centre of the universe, as we have the sun God carrying 9 planets on his chariot, and we write a whole life's predictions in janmakshar based on planetary calculations, the papacy in Vatican believed that earth was the centre of the universe, and Galileo almost lost his life for even suggesting the truth. Christians did not permit any freedom among any intellectuals. Also Latin derives from Sanskrit. Nam, or namah in Sanskrit became name, aggression derives from oogra, and we have a name of an angry king called oograsen. How cool is that? 'Jai Hind'

I have been spreading the word about this site among family and friends and they are awestruck by this site very much. There are so many things many of us did not know. I sometimes despair about the denigration of Sanatan Dharma that happens in India now, which was the cradle of all Dharmic religions especially among political classes and secularists who are bent on appeasing Muslims, Christians.
